Halloween can be all about that hairstyle..

I do not spend 365 days a year deciding should I go out for halloween or get to go to a fancy dress deciding what I would go as (Kinda do) !

My fave time of year because lets face it, its the funniest time not just for kids to let their fun side out . Just some ideas for you ladies if you are still wondering what to dress up as.

This is maybe the easiest to put together some side buns plaited if you wish and long dress.

I dream of Genie or also Princess Jasmine this style works for both

Princess Jasmine just twist the hair at the side and wrap it round a band.

Medusa or mermaid

Sun and Moon I love the icy hair with this.

Doe a Deer you get the rest.

Tinkerbell

Glitter Roots

Dear Unicorn Admirers

Cleopatra

The classic Audrey Hepburn “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”

Halloween costumes are not finished off without the hairstyle I hope you ladies got some inspo for your Halloween nights the funnest time of year is near.

Shiny new trend

A Hairstyle has been a trending Glass hair has officially arrived  It is a transformation of the already popular bob or lob hairstyle.

But it is more refined and sharper in style. This edgy cut has already been embraced by celebrities

Hailey Baldwin’s stylist shared her method for the perfect glass hair she uses Kerastase Ciment thermique

This gem of a product is a thermo-protecting blow-dry and heat styling cream designed to treat and protect weakened and damaged hair. It rebuilds the internal substance of hair.

Completely gorgeous inspo worthy hair styled to smooth, polished , shiny perfection. If you have thicker hair that is prone to frizz or curl we recommend Kerastase Elixir Ultime before styling.

Putting the power of precious oils to your hair, Elixir is full of nourishing properties of 4 oils this is one product I can’t live without.

If you fancy this beautiful style of sharp and shiny, silky hair then go for it.

Couture you say

The fashion shows always bring a new level of hair, make-up and style for us to take inspo.

Christian Dior resort went with sleek low ponytail.

Alexandre Vauthier opted for low ponytail

Antonio Grimaldi went punk with low bun and mohawk headpiece

Tony Ward use of opulent hair accessories are dreamy

Christopher Josse brought 90’s waves with a crimp

Ellie Saab natural waves

Zac Posen wet look hairstyle

Valentino resort was my favourite using a silk scarf and large sunglasses oozing glamour

Just some of our faves from the Shows

You are not basic so, why should your brunette be…

Ash Brown hair colour is chic with an edge , it is an amazing way to update your hair colour.

It is a cool, deep tone without traces of red or gold. This hair colour pops on those who have blue or green eyes. Brown hair does not have to be boring!

Medium ash brown is ideal for cool, medium skin tones with pink undertones. Medium ash brown has the tints of green and blue underneath that come with ash.

Looking for an edgy colour change from your brown or blonde hair then this is worth a mention at your next visit to the salon.

xx

New hair same you..

I smell a colour update so, Christmas is way behind us we can now embrace lighter shade steps on our future visits to the salon. Especially as the weather warms up.

Brunettes can go richer from darker hues to lighter hues. Brunettes can be smooched by the sun as well.

Platinum – still a firm favourite but you have got to protect your hair to maintain shine instead of  dull hair with this colour.

Sun smooched blonde- The colour thats like your back from a tropical beach and not behind a desk.

Natural- Let there be roots , even the colour you were born with . I myself have been going this route thanks to Michelle and I am loving the results as Balayage gives you the best of both worlds.

Just some visual inspo should you girls need any

xx

Valentines Hair

Planning on heading out this Valentines straight from work or planning on hitting the town the weekend and need some hair inspo? Then scroll on down..

Whether it is to meet your friends or a loved one we are more than happy to give you some help with your already glamselves.

This looks more technical than it is I promise.. if you have shorter hair you can add some small bun rings but this once hair is in a middle parting just twist back at the side and you can either pin a few clips to hold or use a gogo 🙂 Yes, I still call them by this name.. to then twist hair into bun at nape of neck depending on hair length.

Low or high ponytail this is great on already curled hair with added texture can pull out loose strands for that just took me two mins look we all love or add in a braid at the side.

Or wear like Kylie, Sleek and high to the sky. This look entails some products to stop fly away strands.

Top knot or high bun is an easy peasy and can be just as versatile as a ponytail. Slap on some red lippy and your good to go.

Barely there braid is an easy and flattering look.

Textured waves give me all the feels.

Sleek blow-dryed hair whether long or short this is fables set with a spritz of hairspray.

NOW GO OUT AND BE CUTE..

Grammys be stylin…

The Grammys where Musicians and stars bring their eccentricness and flamboyant style. I love to see each year what they have in store for us.

This year the hair was higher , Lady Gaga was the first to walk the red carpet and WOW! Lady G loves to surprise us her laced pulled back hairstyle just shows her love for expressing herself through fashion.

Stars wore white roses in support of the #TimesUp movement.

As artists we can appreciate the glitz and brave styles they wear.

Jenny Mc Carthy “Girl” Blue is your colour I think this was just a tint through her hair and no a permanent fixture but still..

Rihanna Big Hair don’t care

Camila Cabello wore Vivienne Westwood Couture High fashion Glamour. Havana, ooh-na-na..

Lana Del Ray had a perfectly placed Halo to accentuate her embellished Gucci Gown.

Some of our faves from this years Grammys from Madison Square garden in NY.

From bold to basic

Woke up with no time or patience to do your hair we have all had those days! Meh!!

By using your fingers to place back into a low bun this adds a soft look , love how the lights pop here.

A low and loose ponytail during the week, even air dry the hair to give it a break from heat styling as in the winter our tresses are exposed more to elements and the aircon in shops and at work.

Love this midi Bun with texture on add some styling product to the hair and backcomb the pony part before pinning up around the head will add volume.

Ponytails may the easiest style around, here is some inspo for switching it up.. The trend seen on the catwalk and on the streets may not be for everyone mind you ‘but’ I adore it and adding the ribbon tre pretty. Again using your fingers instead of a brush to pin back and bonus it is off your face.

if you have longer length hair this braided ponytail and twisted under is another easy style on the go.

Adore the twisted bun with a headscarf all wrapped up in a bow.

I love a messy bun, you know casual, took me a second kind of bun. If you have finer hair use some texture spray to add some grit to the hair.

Keep it modern go for a style that is simple for you give it a try they are surprisingly super-chic.

xx

The Shoulder length is still grazing..

The short, lob, bob hairstyle is still trending for this Autumn/Winter. The street style from New York fashion week are embracing this trend still, whether blunt, graduated, layered or soft shoulder length is still doing its thing:)

I love the glamour of this style and what it brings. I am a big fan of street style you see the chicest style from hair inspo, outfit inspo. Gone are the days of having to get the inside visuals from the catwalks you are seeing the style on the streets around these shows and its majorly refreshing.

You never know what a new fashion month will bring but we are 100% going to be seeing this shoulder grazing style for a while

Avoiding Colour Disasters!!

We all see these amazing colours and styles on Pinterest and we pin them and say to ourselves I want this and have it stored to show our colourist, or we think maybe I could attempt this myself! “No” !! Please always for any extreme colours going darker or lighter a colourist is qualified and it is not simple to do hair colour..

We want to avoid you feeling like said picture above ^

But, there is no denying you can’t have the colour you are after or somewhere near it listen to your colourist they are qualified for a reason and taking you miles away from your natural hair colour is extreme!

Lets say your hair colour is naturally a light brown and your asking for an un-natural looking black hue or blue-black hue? It is going to be obvious not that you can not go darker but the colourist will know the right shade that works for you and only you.

The most important thing is to emulate your natural shade as much as possible. Maybe one shade darker or lighter at first.

Highlights you’ve seen and have it set in your head that you want sun kissed everywhere!

Highlights are meant to look like they were cause by the sun so over highlighting your hair too light, looks fake.. You need balance instead of super thick stripes or unblended uniform colour!

So’ you’ve chanced a box colour on your roots! The hair along your hairline are finer, so they absorb colour quicker and now you look darker! So a trip to the salon were you could have saved yourself a few bob by booking in for a top up or surround by your colourist.

Think about your complexion, You would never purchase a foundation two shades darker than your skin tone and go out in public! Why would you with you hair. Michelle and Carol always consider the complexion listen to your colourist and all the factors. Believe me you will feel more natural and see how your hair can compliment your skin tone, eye colour, even eyebrows..

You bleached your hair at home and now it is orange! Box colour is not fully able to lift dark pigment out of strands! In a salon the colourist will know the exact amount of peroxide needed (and how long) depending on the health of the hair.

If you’ve made is this far in life without any major colour disasters your luckier than most.

I cannot stress enough, listen to your colourist they have experience and colour knowledge they qualified in this field.  Have a consultation when considering a colour change from there you can take the advice and digest it before you decide what to do. We all want it and want it now but in the long run you have to be happy and as long as your hair is done everything else follows.

We want good hair , we want our clients to have amazing hair, we want good hair days #everyday
